Deloris C. Lewis-Morgan (DEE)

Deloris is a native of the Akron area. After graduation, she attended The University of Akron. Her main area of study was Marketing and Sales.
Her employment career began as a teller for Women’s Federal Bank and The Goodyear Bank. She left the banking industry to become a Senior Counselor for Snelling and Snelling. She then spent four years as Senior Collector for the Financial Collection Agency before opening her own agency, Debt Credit Services, in 1974. Deloris also conducts collection seminars to assist medical facilities, utility companies, and other corporations in reducing their receivables.
Deloris has participated in the Women’s Network Mentoring Program and she has been a speaker/panelist at their Next Step Conference. She is an active member of the Northern Ohio Minority Business Council and has served as Registration Chairperson and on the MBEIC Committee for the 1994 All Ohio Trade Fair. She was selected as one of the 1994 inductees to “The Ohio Assembly of Councils 1994 Hall of Fame”. The award was established by the Minority Supplier Development Councils of Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Toledo and recognizes individuals that have made a significant contribution to the minority business community. The National Association of Women Business Owners, or NAWBO, honored Dee in 1998 as one of the top ten women business owners in Northeast Ohio.
Since 1990, Deloris has been an avid “Team Walker” with the Super Cities Walk. She previously served on the Networking Committee and the Pac Committee of the Akron City Club and is Vice President of Jazz-z Travelers’ Social Club. She is proud to sponsor the DCS Bowling Team and is former Vice President of the Civic Theatre Renaissance Group and a member of Mt. Zion Church of Oakwood Village.
Deloris resides in Sagamore Hills, Ohio.
